20th Century Fox recently released a featurette for X-MEN: APOCALYPSE’s chief villain, En Sabah Nur a.k.a. Apocalypse. Shot as though it’s a legit advertisement for a documentary released in the 1980s, it’s definitely worth your while to check this one out!
X-MEN: APOCALYPSE – “In The Footsteps Of En Sabah Nur” Featurette
I love just how dated this ad for an ’80s conspiracy theory documentary looks! Ironically, May 27th is the release date the X-MEN: APOCALYPSE film in cinemas worldwide. What a nifty piece of viral advertising from the creatives at Fox. Keep up the good work in ingeniously marketing your latest X-Men adventure, Fox.
Since the dawn of civilization, he was worshiped as a god. Apocalypse, the first and most powerful mutant from Marvel’s X-Men universe, amassed the powers of many other mutants, becoming immortal and invincible.
Upon awakening after thousands of years, he is disillusioned with the world as he finds it and recruits a team of powerful mutants, including a disheartened Magneto, to cleanse mankind and create a new world order, over which he will reign.
As the fate of the Earth hangs in the balance, Raven with the help of Professor X must lead a team of young X-Men to stop their greatest nemesis and save mankind from complete destruction.
X-MEN: APOCALYPSE boasts an all star cast which includes Oscar Isaac as Apocalypse, James McAvoy as Charles Xaver, Michael Fassbender as Magneto, Jennifer Lawrence as Mystique, Nicholas Hoult as Beast, Rose Byrne as Moira MacTaggert, Lucas Till as Havok and newcomers Alexandra Shipp as Storm, Sophie Turner as Jean Grey, Ben Hardy as Angel, Tye Sheridan as Cyclops, Olivia Munn as Psylocke and Lana Condor as Jubilee.
X-MEN: APOCALYPSE will hit theaters worldwide on May 27, 2016.
